What is up with the polling

So I have been watching several polls noticing that most have the presidents job approval rating between +5 to several +22. How is this possible? With all the problems he is having with Cap and Trade, healthcare, spending how is it possible to poll and get an approval in the 60s? Rasmussen has had the President in negatives for weeks. And he is the only one besides some online polls. The question is: Are the pollsters now skewing data to promote his approval rating? To me it looks this way considering the vast difference in polls.

What is wrong with our pundits

Okay,

When Senator Mccain was nominated you could hear the the silence from the grass roots of the republican party. lack of enthusiasm, money and effort for him was amazing. He was all but assured to loose in this environment. And yet we have "conservative pundits" taking some sort of beltway look upon this race as he actually stood a chance. His choice of Palin motivated far more then he could even hope for- yet this is not pointed out and she is still being drug through the mud with no one sticking up for her on the tv. (radio is a different story)

At some point these pundits have to get there street-cred back with us average joes and understand what the rank and file see  which is apparently our voices on TV cans see due to the bight lights. That the middle of the road play nice only gets democrats elected. They need to stand up in these talk shows/ news programs for what is right for the right. Pronounce the core ideals of less taxes less government and more freedom. They are after all our light that is to represent us to the people watching. When they take a roll of a subjective beltway analyst it only give the other side more room to wiggle around and get out of the liberal noose. After all even electing a socialist ; liberal is a bad word...

to make it clear to these talking heads I have a little story to tell.

Last night I had dinner with my wife and sister in law. My sister in law and I discussed politics and the election. The over riding theme of this conversation is me explaining the core conservative principles to her and why they work. She up until this conversation had no idea what the republicans stood for. Though she new perfectly well what the democrats stood for- socialism and she was fine with that because it has been represented in a nice flowery packaged way.  Once I explained the liberating ideals of less intrusion less taxation more individual rights and respect for laws I saw that it could have been a viable alternate in the voting booth for her. the same woman who just voted for socialism

People are looking for something they understand and is a guiding light to a better life. They do not want perfection they want honesty and a chance. That is what the conservative talking heads have lost and need to start doing. Discussing why we can give a better more prosperous United States of America.

(sorry if it is hard to read it is late and I typed as the thoughts came)

Well I did it

I could not bring myself to vote for mccain. Since I am the peoples republic of California; I decided I would give my vote to a more deserving party at this time. Alan Keyes got it. Maybe after this election some Republican movers and shakers will understand moving to the center left really does nothing. Our principles should be upheald period. The last few years of big governement from the right was so dissapointing. Maybe with my 1 little vote someone will here. Go back to our roots less taxes less governement more freedom.
